Fibres of Meaning

in Collaboration with Claudia Alarcón

The practice of creating high jewellery centres on celebrating stories formed over millions of years by the Earth. Harnessing their striking beauty, the goal is to craft masterpieces that enchant.

A similar process occurs for Wichí textile artist Claudia Alarcón, with whom we are honoured to present our first ever artist collaboration.

Together, we have created the first high jewellery pieces ever to encase artistic textiles.

A Nexus of Significance

Claudia Alarcón’s practice centres on the ancestral Wichí tradition of weaving the spun fibres of chaguar plants, dyed with the juices of local flora.

According to Wichí tradition, women descended from the stars nightly along chaguar threads they wove. This inspired a tradition that has now endured for centuries.

The Wichí weavings hold time, memory, origin, place, and meaning as they travel through space and time themselves.

Resplendor, the title of Claudia’s first weaving, inspires the Resplendor Pendant. It features a replica of the original Resplendor, woven by Claudia specifically for this piece.
